About Us

Hi! I’m Emma

Five years ago, I started The Irishman’s Wife, a recipe website sharing my love of cast iron cooking and sharing delicious food around the kitchen table.

It was not long after that Carla suggested an online store to accompany it, but between our family business, kids and life, the idea kept being shelved. Finally, in 2025, we got our ducks in a row and The Irishman’s Wife Store was born.

Together we’ve curated a collection of beautiful homewares that we think you’ll love. From cast iron cookware to handcrafted Irish linen tea towels, it’s all about the little pockets of happiness that make a house, a home.

Meet the team…

Emma Lee

founder, THE IRISHMAN’S WIFE

Emma is the creator, shopkeeper and storyteller behind The Irishman’s Wife. She trained in kitchens in Australia and the UK, then came home to country NSW where she spends her days talking pots, stirring stews and helping people cook good, simple food.

She’s a sucker for cast iron (hello, Le Creuset), seasonal produce and long Sunday roasts. And wine, there’s always wine!

When she’s not in the kitchen or pottering around the shop, you’ll usually find her dreaming up new recipes, wrangling her Irish husband and their son, or curating pieces that make a house feel welcoming and a table worth gathering around.

OPerations DIRECTOR

Carla is the glue of The Irishman’s Wife Store. She throws the best staff parties and she’s the night owl who hunts down the most beautiful products—often at 11 pm with a wishlist a mile long.

She’s a cast-iron superfan (ask her about her cast iron cookware cabinet!), is always planning her next trip, and she does love a good gin.

Got questions, order help, or need a hand choosing your forever pot? The quickest way to reach us is to email Carla.

In addition to The Irishman’s Wife Store, Emma & Carla also co-own Martha’s Food & Home, a bricks and mortar store in the beautiful town of Orange, NSW.
